Info for Parents
Our mission is to foster the development of the whole child in a safe, nurturing, non-pressured atmosphere through play and varied experiences. Throughout the day your child will be encouraged to explore activities that will allow them to learn about the world. Language, math, science, art and practical life skills are all areas that are integrated into our daily routines in every classroom.
Types of Care
Full Daycare
Full Daycare is available from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Full week schedules are preferred, but we may offer two-day (Tuesday/Thursday) and three-day (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) options depending on availability at the time of your child’s enrollment.
Drop-in Daycare
Drop-in Care is based on daily enrollment. If your child needs care on additional days or on an as-needed basis, they may attend if space allows. To use the drop-in care option, children must have a physical and official birth certificate if paperwork is not already on file. Additional paperwork may be filled out on the day care is needed.
After-School Care is also available. We provide transportation from several schools in the Champaign-Urbana area. We’ll bring your child from their school to The Caring Place, and they’ll be on a set schedule until we close at 6 p.m.
School Age Summer Camp is available for children age 6 – 12. The camp is located in our Camp Caring Place facility, and we take frequent field trips to keep the kids engaged.
Fees and Tuition
You’ll need to pay a non-refundable registration fee at the time of your child’s enrollment. This is a one-time fee, as long as your child remains enrolled or uses our drop-in services once every 120 days.
Tuition
Rates are based on your child's age (classroom) and the number of days they attend. Rates include infant cereal, table food, juice and milk, along with breakfast, lunch and one snack per day. For infants, we provide an iron-enriched formula. Please check to see if it’s comparable to the formula you use at home.
All rates are based on a five-day week. Part-time rates are subject to the number of days/hours your child is in our care.

Discounts
Carle Health employees receive a 10% discount. This discount applies to all children of these employees.
If you have more than one child attending The Caring Place, we give a discount of 10% for each additional child. The discount is based on the lowest tuition or the drop-in rate and is given after all other discounts have been subtracted.
