Important Things to Know About School Age Programs
After School Care
We provide transportation from several schools in the Champaign/Urbana area. The school schedules must coordinate with our van run schedules to allow this transportation. If at some point there are not enough children to warrant a van run, we will make adjustments at that time. If your child will not need to be picked up or time out of school is different than usual, please inform as soon as you know of the change. If schools have early dismissal due to inclement weather pick up by The Caring Place will be determined as needed or parents will be notified if other arrangements need to be made. Upon arrival at The Caring Place after school the children will be given a snack followed by quiet schoolwork time in order for the children to work on school assignments. This will be followed by outside time and free choice of activities.

Camp Caring Place
During the summer children who have completed kindergarten through twelve years old can participate in summer camp. The camp program includes frequent field trips for an additional, non-refundable registration fee that is required to reserve your child’s place. This fee will not be prorated. This camp is located in our Camp Caring Place facility. Priority is given to children enrolled in our After School program.
